For the exterior of the house, I want to honour the traditional architecture while adding some modern touches. Mixing traditional and a bit of edge truly fits my personal style. I plan to bring that to every room in the house - the exterior is no exception. Here are some of the design elements I plan to incorporate. Check out my Pinterest board to see all the exterior inspo.

Limestone, Precast, Black Framed Windows
I have always loved brownstones – heavy with precast and ornate features and a smooth façade. These intricate details scream “good bones” to me.
One of my favourite exterior materials is buffed Indiana Limestone. It is such a beautiful material on its own, and even better when contrasted with black features like iron railings, doors or windows.

Modern Railing
A modern railing is a great contrast to the traditional elevation I have planned. A graphic shape - like a rectangle or oval - will add visual interest.

Bay Window
The 2017 Princess Margret Home by Brian Gluckstein did not disappoint. I loved how the window was framed and the flat trim was layered. I know this would be a good way to frame our bay window; complimenting the precast and not competing with it.
The front elevation equals major curb appeal. Can't wait to see how it comes out.
