A mix of old and new that is effortlessly chic.
New Traditional design is a design style that I really admire. Classic hard finishes like hardwood floors, iron railings, crown molding are contrasted with contemporary elements and furniture. I love how cool and collected it looks. It is very Paris, and who doesn't love that?
I've rounded up my favourite new-trad, Parisian spaces and hilighted some reasons why I think they're the creme-de-la-creme.

The Parisian apartment of design duo Gilles et Boissier
My most favourite Parisian pad - the amount I've looked at this home tour is borderline unhealthy.
It's obvious every detail in the space was well throughout out by the designer-architect couple but the colour pallet is the reason this apartment is on the top of my list. Painting out all the ornate moldings and paneling completely modernized the space.

An unsuspecting pop
The pink sofa and tangerine accent in the kitchen bring this traditionally cladded apartment into today's design world. A unique combination that modernizes the space.

Modern lighting
Mid-century lighting, like this lamp, can be a great contrast to a traditional space. The clean lines, bright bronze, and modern shape all add to the juxtaposition.
